Not only is it manufactured by the highly respected Avon brand, but they are made of a hypalon material, rather than PVC which many of its competitors use. Hypalon is stronger, lasts much longer and is far more UV resistant than PVC, making it less likely to get damaged by the sun. However, hypalon is much more expensive than PVC and this is reflected in the price. The wooden floorboards and inflatable keel ensure a smooth and high performance ride that you would expect from an Avon inflatable. Old Avon dinghy for sale with Outboard Bracket. Watertight and airtight (the durable hypalon tubes on this dinghy hold air indefinitely) but has some patches on underside of floor and possibly one on the rear tube (although I suspect this may have been a factory-fitted sign which has faded). Outboard bracket is serviceable but has some corrosion issues. Valve on central inflatable seat replaced this year. All in all a perfectly usable dinghy which will probably still be giving good service long after the current batch of Chinese made PVC alternatives have been consigned to the bin ! Very stable and heavy duty. No holes, no repairs, no leaks, no patches. Properly airtight and safe. Outboard is Yamaha 2.5 hp 4-stroke, again with hardly any use. Serviced and starts first pull. (see video). Although used in salt water it was always flushed through with fresh water the 4 or 5 times it was ever used. Hi inflatable dinghy / tender for sale, Made by Avon, has Cove and Big Game names on but is same spec as Avon Redseal. App 10ft 6inch long.
