Lovely stylised Art Nouveau Biscuit Tin/Caddy - Circa . I am not sure who the maker of this tin was. But I do know that this particular design is hard to come by. Please see images for clarification of condition. Lid is not hinged (was not made to be). Measures approx. 8.5 inches tall x 7 inches wide at widest point. Dimensions: Height: 36cm (14.2") Width: cm (59.3") Depth: 38.5cm (15.2") Brass fire fender Art Nouveau, `s ca, French. Thoroughly cleaned respecting the original patina. This quality cast solid brass fire fender is decorative with its undulating curves and design elements from the earlier baroque period. In this example the free flowing form design is pared down and from the Art Nouveau period. At the centre there is a dramatic decorative cartouche with exaggerated leaf motives. On either side of this there are two even more elaborate designs containing two cherubs around a pearl-like form. Characteristic of baroque design there is exuberant swirls alongside areas of dramatic void. Each corner is decorated with a tall cabriolet form topped with a finial. The fender turns inwards and on each side there is another baroque crest. It is from this angle that the detailed internal side can be appreciated and indicative of quality. At the bottom there is a stepped plinth base and at the top it is finished with a fluted undulating bar. This brass fender has a warm antique patina built up over time. The componets are intact & secure. There are a few minor dents as would be expected for this age. For transport this piece would be bubble wrapped with an outer layer of card. It could be boxed for shipping with a courier. The dimension of the internal side are Length: cm Depth 31 cm. This item is displayed in our London Showroom. This pocket watch holder is very nice and has been used a bit. the watch holder stand on 4 round feet and ahs a nicely decorated back of coloured beads. The holder is complete with a silver Art Nouveau pocket watch. The pocket watch has a white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions and outer 5-60 numbers. There are also inner red hour numbers and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial has nice antique hands and is protected by a glass. A rare superb quality glass fronted mantel clock on walnut base on brass feet. The glass has several finely painted flowers scattered around the pure Art Nouveau metal bezel which has the hour digits attached. The metal dial has an embossed map of France and fleur de lys hands. The clock has the finest quality French 8 day movement which has been fully stripped down, cleaned and serviced and keeps excellent time. The clock is 19.5 cm wide x 18 cm high x 6.5 cm deep.
