THIS BED FRAME IS ADVERTISED FOR SALE ELSEWHERE, SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE THIS LISTING AT ANY TIME SHOULD IT BE SOLD We have just dismantled this true vintage bed frame in readiness for a change of décor, and it is ready to be collected in four separate pieces. Please note that this is the head, foot and side runners only – there is no base to this bed included in this listing. It is originally from an abandoned cottage in the Andalucian hills above Malaga, and we brought it home with us when we moved back to the UK years ago. From the history we know of the house and its former occupants, it is a fairly safe estimate to assume that this bed frame dates from the mid 20th Century i.e. probably late '50s or early s, but it could possibly be a decade either side! Although it is in a fabulous Art Deco style, I have to admit that I doubt it could possibly be that early. We could not get the flat bed base out of the cottage, so we had to improvise by adapting an IKEA slatted base (not completely ideal as it was a little wide) and squashing a UK double mattress onto it (this bed is a little shorter than a standard UK double bed). These are not included in this listing but I’m sure a buyer would be able to adapt something as we did. Please see my 'other items' for the IKEA base listing though, as I am selling this separately. The original colour of the metal is a light grey, but this was painted over with a hammered gold paint ages ago. Obviously, this has had the odd knock over the years, and the original colour is visible in places around the side edges of the frame where this has happened. Approximate measurements are: length 75 inches (add another 3 inches to account for the length added by the depth of the headboard and footboard), width 53 inches. Some of the photos show the bed made up or with a mattress on, but these are simply to show how it looks at various stages when in use. Art Deco Style Mirrored Room Divider Mirror Screen Glass Retro Vintage

On offer here is an unusual and striking mirrored screen! I apologise in advance for the photos - it was very difficult to capture images of this piece due to its size and reflective nature. It would of course reflect the wonderful surroundings of your home as opposed to the less glamorous interior of my conservatory! I am not sure of the age of this piece but it has been suggested it may date from the 70's - maybe you know? I have seen similar screens online which date from the 70's that are priced at £4k+! This screen comprises three leafs - each of which is formed from a single piece of bevelled mirror glass into which are machined three vertical flutes. The mirrors are mounted onto substantial timber panels all of which is supported by floor glides. The condition is generally good. There is some mirror delamination to the lower edges of the right hand leaf - and there is some scuffing to the corners of the timber panels. That aside there are no cracks or chips to the glass and the hinges are all intact and working perfectly. Each leaf measures approximately 205cm high by 45.5cm wide. This screen would make a unique and imposing addition to any Art Deco or modern setting! This is an exceptionally heavy piece and is at least a two-person lift! For this reason this piece is offered for collection only. I am located in the Wolstanton area of Newcastle Under Lyme - and I am able to assist with loading if required. This lovely art deco style mirror has been passed down from my wife's grandmother. We think it is from the s s. It's in good condition, there are some signs of wear around the edges of the mirror. pls see pics. It is an irregular heptagon measures 56cm along bottom. 38cm high and 63 CM wide at the widest point. It has a solid wood backing and a chain to hang it from.
