Original s Art Deco fireplace including hearth, surround, grate and shaped back and chimney throat. All in excellent condition and there is only a tiny bit of soot on chimney throat so assume has only been used once! Buyer to collect. Is quite heavy, but manageable by one strong person and should fit into a medium sized car. Must be taken by on Sunday 5th November.

ORIGINAL Art Deco Marble / Travertine Fireplace Fire Surround Hearth

This is a lovely marble fireplace which has been removed ready for collection. The main photo shows the fireplace in its original position. It comprises six main pieces along with the stainless steel opening. There is a stainless steel pad that sits level with the hearth directly in front of the opening. This has seen much better days so you may want to replace it or use tiles instead. There is also a small freestanding oblong finial that sits atop the fireplace. The condition of the fireplace is generally good. There is a repair to the top of the left side upright where a piece has been re-attached (check the photos). This could possibly be worked on to make it less visible. There are also some minor chips / scratches etc as would be expected from a fireplace of this vintage - mainly to the front centre edge of the hearth. I understand there are repair kits readily available that fill marble chips like this quite successfully. There are no other cracks / breaks that I can see. The stainless insert is generally in good condition. The same fireplace is available from a dealer for £! Theirs comes with a black tiled pad which sits in front of the opening - this is in place of the stainless pad. These tiled pads can be made up fairly cheaply or something similar could be installed when fitting the fireplace. Their fireplace appears to be missing the small oblong finial. They have it listed as a s fireplace - however this fireplace was removed from a house built in and the owners believed it to be original to the house. You can view the dealer's fireplace HERE I'm offering this one at less than a quarter of their price:-) The dimensions of the fireplace when fitted are approximately: Body Width: 163cm Hearth Width: 165cm Height: 100cm Hearth Projection: 55cm Opening Width: 46cm (18 inches) Opening Height: 56cm (22 inches) All in this is a beautiful and understated fireplace with lovely patterns & foliation to the emprador marble. It would look perfect in an Art Deco or even a modern setting! Due to the size & weight of the fireplace it is being offered for collection only. It is exceptionally heavy so you will ideally need a van to transport it. I can assist with loading and it's on the ground floor - but two other strong people will likely be needed as each side upright is very heavy.
