Moog MicroMoog Vintage Synthesizer

Up I for sale is a Moog MicroMoog Synthesizer from . This has a very early serial number so it is possible that this could have been the first one to reach the UK, but definitely one of the first batch to reach our shores. Also included is the original factory ticket from when the synth was made. These are often lost over the years so it is quite something to still have this paired with the synth, to help tell a bit of the history of the unit. It shows that this synth was assembled and tested on 14th August . I bought this early last year to restore. Prior to me buying it, it had spent many years in an attic where it was left unused after coming out of a studio, where it was originally bought for, many years ago. It has taken all of this time to get the electronics fully working, by a few different technicians, and it is now like playing a new synth. I replaced the rubber key bushings on the keyboard so it feels like playing a new synth too. Cosmetically there are some signs of wear, as you would expect on an item over 40 years old that was neglected for much of that time, but this does obviously not effect the functionality of the synth. This is a highly underrated instrument with a wild filter. It is capable of getting some huge bass sounds, thanks to its sub oscillator, right through to soft pad like lead sounds and beyond. It is also possible to create some wild effects and all sorts of noises. The modulation routing selection knob is a little delicate but it does function. I am looking for £595. I am not making a profit on this, nor am I breaking even on this. To recoup my costs would over value this synth by quite some amount. I have dropped the price quite considerably as I, unfortunately, need this to go to pay for other things. If you have any questions then please feel free to get in touch. This has been in storage since so I figured maybe it was time to sell it! I bought it new, used it for a couple of years with a band, then put it away when the band split. It's in excellent condition - I have checked it over and everything works as it should, also cosmetically it's in great condition. This got great reviews when it was released in (I think) and it still sounds really good today. There are some first class "bread & butter" sounds like electric piano, strings, brass, organs, basses, acoustic guitars etc, and there are some great techno / trance type patches. The percussion is also good. Designed by Tim Orr this type of synth was popular in the late 70's early 80's and in particular was used by Joy Division. These are fairly rare beasts, especially a working one.
