Grade2 Modified - British Army DPM Field Jacket (over the head style) Used in Iraq & Afghanistan

For Sale is an Issue DPM Lightweight Ripstop Field Jacket, formerly owned by a British Army Sniper, Used first in Iraq then Afghanistan, prior to the introduction of MTP. While in Iraq it was used as a standard field/combat jacket on patrols and such, On a later tour in Afghanistan the jacket was modified by its owner to suit his personal requirements/taste/role (or maybe it was an expedient field repair) Condition is Issued, Heavily Used in Iraq & Afghanistan - in fair/worn condition (and Modified) Size is approximately a Large / estimated to be (by comparing it to other jackets i'm selling) Modifications; Modifications were done 'in-country', by a local afgan, with functionality in mind, not cosmetically for fashion. so are not professionally done to a standard of a high street commercial item, -- The main zip has been removed and the jacket has been converted into a 'half smock' design similar to the ww2 para-smocks, it has been stitched closed from the bottom front hem to the sternum then has velcro to close the upper chest area. This jacket is fairly unique, piece of military history, its in decent condition considering its history, Its Probably one for military collectors or air-soft players, but this jacket is however fully functional and could be used for paint balling, bush-craft, shooting etc (if you dont mind a over the head style smock) If you decide to buy, please be realistic... this piece of clothing has been used for at least 3 tours on front line duty and been USED in combat, If you want a new/super grade combat jacket please contact me, your welcome to view without obligation I am willing to post it UK wide for an additional £5 Ad ID:

Based on research in rare manuscripts and in archives, the book reveals that the Shi'i clergy advocated policies that caused resentment among Sunnis and Hindus, thereby promoting religious communalism and setting the stage for modern communal conflict. The Shi'i learned men took government posts in support of Awadh's Shi'i nawabs and shahs; Awadh state support, in turn, helped transform Shi'ism from a persecuted "sect" to a dominant, if still minority, religious establishment. Sociologically, the book draws attention to the specific role of the state in defining "sect" and "church." It also argues the importance of class divisions within the Shi'i community, showing that the dominant clerical ideology was often not accepted by the laboring strata. Cole's study supports the view that Muslim communalism in Northern India had genuine historical roots and was not simply an elite strategy of modern Muslim politicians.
