Antique/Vintage wooden 2 drawer cabinet with side shelves.

I know very little about the history and purpose of this cabinet, except for it was bought in Auction around 20 years ago. I have been trying to research the original use of the cabinet as it has specific side shelves, which fold down. Someone has suggested it's a book press or maybe for tea time or sewing. If you know, feel free to message me and let me know:-) The cabinet measures 54 wide x 54 high x 60 deep. It has one shallow drawer and one deep drawer.
