Antique chiming wall clock, This was my late mothers clock. It is in good condition overall but there are a few minor marks as the photos show and a small piece of moulding is missing on the front. This is a beautifully proportioned clock, Triple weight for Grande sonnerie strike, It strikes hours and quarters, The clock has a duration of 8 days, the White dial is one piece and has no cracks with pie crust bezel, the dial is 6 and a half inches diameter and the bezel is 7and a half inches, The dial has a silent lever which switches off the hour strike and quarter chime, there is also facility for a strike repeat cord but this is not fitted, Very fine steel hands, Wooden speak board, The 3 weights are in good condition, 3 matching pulleys, The clock has a very nice Rosewood case, all of the glass is good. The case is 45 inches from top to bottom, and at its widest is 14 inches(at the top). These is a lock and key to the left side of the door, The winding key is included. Antique chiming wall clock. I bought this from an antique shops in Neath in the s. The shop owner told me it was fully restored. As I really wanted one I paid over a ton for it. He was a big liar as it has never seen any restoration whatsoever as a good friend who restores clocks told me at the time. That said it does work keeping reasonable time for a clock of its age. The chimes which are quite beautiful chime at every quarter of an hour. It is missing a decorative piece at the top and the finial at the bottom has become detached but only needs glueing.
