This is in completely original condition so has some dents and marks that all add to its character, full of life and history. Writing reads: H.F Tunbridge, c/o Miss D.Mason,501 New South Head RD,Double bay, Sydney,Australia. This could be used for storage (all catches and handles work),perhaps a blanket box at the foot of a bed. At the moment I have it stood on end and am using it as a lamp stand, endless possibilities. Vintage / Antique Wooden Travel Case / Storage Trunk

In need of a little TLC, as you can see in the attached photos the hinged edge between the two halves has actually come apart. For someone with the right crafting / fixing skills, it would be quite easy to refurbish this with some nice hinges, or even better a classic leather style hinge as you would have seen on trunks like this once upon a time. This minor issue aside the trunk is in fantastic condition for something over 50 years old, and the wooden bracing gives it that fantastic look. Local collection hugely preferred because of size. For sale is this absolutely incredible 17th/18th century coffer. It's in amazing antique condition with the most beautiful genuine patina. I've cleaned the inside and given the outside a fresh coat of wax giving it a beautiful tactile finish. The condition is extremely good for its age. It has a very small amount of dormant worm holes at the back which are almost un noticeable. All in all its an amazing piece great condition and clean inside.
