A superb British made antique steamer trunk. Outstanding quality black painted metal with solid wood braces all round. A stunning original coppered interior. This is in completely original condition so has some dents and marks that all add to its character, full of life and history. Writing reads: H.F Tunbridge, c/o Miss D.Mason,501 New South Head RD,Double bay, Sydney,Australia. This could be used for storage (all catches and handles work),perhaps a blanket box at the foot of a bed. At the moment I have it stood on end and am using it as a lamp stand, endless possibilities. Beautiful 19th century ironbound oak chest in great condition. This is a stunning piece that would look amazing at the foot of a bed or as a show piece in a living room. Still very useable. Meaurements are 86cm x 50cm x 49cm(h) Inside is original so has a few discoloured patches but I did not want to be the one to try and clean it as there is potential to damage it. This is a lovely old Victorian travel trunk. It has a dome or barrel shape top and is bound with wood and brass. The wood has a brown leather covering. The trunk is in good solid vintage condition and would make a great storage chest. The inside has the original striped paper lining, which is quite tatty and could be replaced. The lid needs an adjustment as it doesn't quite fit into the locks, although this doesn't stop it from closing. 2 castors are missing but, as the remaining 2 disappear into the base when on the floor it still stands on the level. it measures 60 cm wide by 48 cm high, and weighs 10 kilos. Vintage green wood banded trunk suitcase - coffee table,

This gorgeous vintage green trunk has two locks which close, although they are rusty (no keys). The wood bands are intact and there are brass corner protectors on the bands. The handle is metal and is good but with rust. It is initialled S.A.Sturge. Some wear and tear on the outside, the inside has the original lining with a few tears but overall it is in good vintage worn condition considering its age (probably 40s/50s if not earlier). Please look at the photos for close ups of its condition. This will make a great coffee table, use in a stack or for storage. It weighs 6 kgs when empty and is a good sturdy trunk suitcase. A C19th Stained Pine & Iron Bound Silver Chest Trunk Storage Box Coffee Table A C19th stained pine and iron bound silver chest or trunk, but could no be used as a great storage box, coffee table or kids toy box. The chest is formed with it being made from stained pine which has a great colour and wear to it. The chest is then bound to the edges with large painted iron mounts. It also has two lock plates on the front. On either side it would have had two chunky carrying handles, one is now missing. Opening the trunk it is lined in base to the edges and lid. The trunk has many new uses and would fit in any home easily. The trunk dates to around . Size Height ” Width 36” Depth 22” Condition The condition of the trunk is very good, it is missing one handle, missing main lock, and the trunk has scratches scuffs, marks and split to top and it has had some old woodworm on top which has all been treated again but very good commensurate to age, all giving it a good original look and character.
