Beautiful, original, cast iron Victorian fireplace insert in great condition with pristine, stylish period tiles and clear decorative metalwork detail. The insert originates from an ironworks in Falkirk - see detail shown on the photos of the back. Dimensions: Width: 44.5" / Height: 41" / Overall Depth 6" This is a really lovely piece but we decided to open up our closed fireplace to have exposed brick as an alternative, hence the sale. Reclaimed and Restored Original Cast Iron Tiled Insert circa with Surround Description This cast Iron insert has been stripped back by hand and re-polished to a stunning graphite finish. It has Original Victorian style Floral Tiles (no cracks or chips). Can be used with gas or solid fuel as it has its original cast iron back box (just waiting on replacement firebrick to arrive) or as a decorative feature in any room. The surround is a Wood effect mahogany colour. All our surrounds are reclaimed and as such may have some minor knocks and blemishes appropriate to its age. All Surrounds are sympathetically restored and waxed prior to delivery. All surrounds can be sprayed White, Black or any available colour for an additional charge. Insert can be sold separately if surround is not required or is not to your taste. The Hearth in the photos is not included.
