Silver Jubilee telephone with bellset in Poole

This is a special edition made by the Post Office to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth 2nd. It was made at the Post Office factory in Cymcarn. The telephone dial has a silver coloured centre crest of the crown and dated . Attached to the telephone is a long corded bellset. These items are in good condition but not tested. As you can see this is the much sought-after pair of original candlestick telephone and bell-set. The two are not physically connected and I do not know if they are matched. Irrespective of this, they do make a fascinating insight into yesterdays technology and are fine conversation pieces. I believe them to be in completely original condition, although the phone has a dial label which is clearly not original. An unusual and rare piece of mining memorabilia... A bakelite industrial telephone by Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Company Ltd, Liverpool. The plate on the front of the telephone is dated The plaque on the front of the telephone states "type certified by the mines department for parallel working date " "Manufactured by Automatic Telephone & Electric Co. Ltd, Liverpool" "For surface use only" It appears to have been converted at some time as originally it would not have had a dial and it has a new cord with a modern connector. It does not seem to work. There are a few cracks in the bakelite (see photographs) but nothing too detrimental considering it's age and where it was used. Dimensions...
