This vintage Posser is also known as a Swiftsure vacuum washer. It has a wooden handle with flared base and copper inner with holes. These were very popular in the early ’s for washing clothes in a tub. The condition is reasonably good with a few dents that one would expect with an item of this age and what it has been used for. There is a brass plaque inscribed. “British Vacuum Washer Co. The Swiftsure Patent No . Islington Liverpool.” This is ideal for any collector of natural and cultural history.
