Victorian large stripped pine chest of 4 drawers, galleried top. 104 cm wide

This is a lovely late Victorian stripped pine chest of drawers on bracket feet. It has 2 top drawers over 2 long ones, with bun knob handles. The chest has a distinctive galleried top and is in good, solid overall condition. It measures 104 cm wide by 84 cm high by 45 cm deep. There are a few small knocks and dings which you would expect from a piece of furniture this age, which I have tried to show in the pictures. There are a few long standing worm holes, long since treated and inactive, which are cosmetic and only add to the character of this piece of furniture. We replaced the tongue and groove back as one o9f the original strips had got damaged. You could stain the wood but it is unseen and we haven't bothered. There are years of use left in this chest. For sale is this absolutely stunning antique Welsh chest of drawers. It's a lovely solid scruffy old thing with bags of character and charm. It's totally original I've just given it a clean and wax. It has fantastic proportions, clean inside, a lovely inlay detail on the drawers and a very unusual combination of 2 over 4 drawers making it a little different from the norm. I honestly can't say enough about this piece it's cracking but if you're looking for a pristine restored antique this is not for you. Dimensions are Width 112 Height 115 Depth 53 all cms All of my items are genuine vintage or antique. Items of this age come with obvious age related knocks, bumps and scratches etc. In my opinion this only adds to the their originality and style. Large Antique Pine Chest of Drawers, Genuine Antique. in

For Sale Large Antique Pine Chest of Drawers, dimensions are approximately mm High, Wide and 530MM Deep, front to back including handles. Drawer depths from the bottom drawer upwards are: 270mm, 220mm, 170mm and the two smaller drawers are 115mm deep. the previous owner told me she bought the drawers second hand in and the clear plastic handles were on it then, they are one piece moulded and screwed into the drawer as you can see in the pictures, one of them has slight damage, second down on the right. There are age related marks and a couple of splits but that adds to the character. The bottom drawer has some damage, a strip of wood at the top has broken off so a gap shows when the drawer is closed, the piece of wood is there so may be fixed. Because of the damage the price is £135. Genuine Antique.
