Old pine Victorian kitchen table with large, deep, spacious cutlery drawer and spun legs. Table width; 105 cm / 41", length; 134 cm / ", height; 76.5 cm / 30", table top 2 cm / 1" thick. The drawer is 45cm long, 51cm wide, 8cm deep. Seats 6. The table has lovely old pine wood grain. It has a few knocks that is part of the character of a table of this age. There is an old fine age crack (about 5") at the top of one of the table legs. This has been there since I bought the table for £750 a few years ago from Hampstead Antique Market. Here is a very nice circular kitchen or dining table in solid pine, owned from new when I seem to remember it was bought from Habitat! 110cm in diameter, with four detachable legs which attach with strong bolts. You can see photographs of the table top and the legs. This is in excellent condition, a few odd scuffs and scratches from use, but further photographs gladly provided. It is not erected at the moment as it would take up too much space in my garage, but I am happy to answer any questions and if you are genuinely interested you could come around and have a look at it! The family-owned company steadily expanded throughout the first half of the 20th century. In , Sibast’s children, Emma, Ole, and Helge, took the reins, and together they carried Sibast to international acclaim. According to Anna Sibast, great-granddaughter-in-law of the company’s founder, “Emma was in administration, taking care of the finances and the employees’ wellbeing. Ole played a big role in selling, for example, to Hilton Hotels and the White House, to name a few. And Helge was the driving force in the design and production side of the business.” In the postwar era, Sibast became one of Denmark’s largest producers of fine wood chairs, tables, and sideboards, celebrated for high quality craftsmanship and modernist silhouettes. Helge Sibast apprenticed under his father and was responsible for a many of the company’s most successful designs, including No. 7 Chair and No. 8 Chair (both ).
