Antique set of four solid oak ladder back chairs with original rush seats. Circa early 's. These chairs have been used often over the years belonged to my grandparents. Very solid condition but could do with some renovation to bring them back to their former selves. One carver chair and three uprights. The rush on the carver is loose underneath. Here is 8 dining chairs, 2 of them is carver (picture 3). The wood is solid oak. The chairs size: seat width 45.5 cm depth 40 cm and seat to ground height 44 cm. The chairs physical condition is very good, no broken and no wobbly problem. The cushion is clean (picture 8), so you don't need buy new cushion. The most value of the chairs is the ladder back (picture 9) and amazing carved arms (picture 5) and legs (picture 7). You can image how many hours to carve these arms and legs. The defect of these chairs is the back has some wear (picture 9) but it complete doesn't affect any thing. In fact, these wear are also a good evidence the wood is solid white oak which is an expensive wood. They are not chairs but they are arts!!! Happy to buy these chairs!! Particular to London area buyers, you can save a lot of search time and save a lot of delivery fee. I combine 2 sets chairs into one advertise.
