This is a wonderful and extremely rare 19th Century Chinese Silver on Copper Snuff / Scent bottle. There’s beautiful double sided handcrafted carved bovine bone panels depicting a fisherman to the outside. The bottle is also coated with silver on copper and includes gorgeous turquoise cabochons. The bottle is approximately 11cm tall and in great condition considering it’s age but is missing a small number of Cabochons. This is a rare Tudor scent bottle with enamel decorations, from the 16th century. They were found in Tudor England (King Henry VIII), and they were worn to the clothing. These bottles were often Royal gifts and also in possession of the high nobility. Coming from an 18th/19th century collection in England. As usual in the 16th century, this item is not yet standard noticed/tested, but seems to have a kind of makers mark on the bottom. With a COA by the British Antique dealer (jewellery). This is a wonderful Art Deco Silver Collar and Glass Perfume / Scent Bottle in lovely original condition and the stopper fits nicely. The Silver hallmarks on the collar of the bottle have worn slightly so it’s not possible to make out the silver maker, assay office or exact date but the outline to the date letter indicates early 20th Century, the Art Deco era. The glass bottle itself is 12cm in height, of good weight, has a beautiful design inscribed and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Beautiful engraved, modified and specially designed scent box. Lid closes and opens properly. On the top of the lid there is a beautiful flower. The box weighs approx. 15.9 grams. The box is silver with the 800 mark.There are several marks on it but I cannot read them. Approx. 34 mm high, 46 mm wide and 30 mm deep.
