For sale is this absolutely incredible 17th/18th century coffer. It's in amazing antique condition with the most beautiful genuine patina. I've cleaned the inside and given the outside a fresh coat of wax giving it a beautiful tactile finish. The condition is extremely good for its age. It has a very small amount of dormant worm holes at the back which are almost un noticeable. All in all its an amazing piece great condition and clean inside. Dimensions are Width 105 Depth 56 Height 64 all cms. This is a large antique pine military campaign chest probably from about the period. It has the original iron handles, and is bound with old metal straps. The inside is fully tin lined, to use the chest probably for waterproof document storage, or to keep food fresh in ice. It is large, measuring 100cm long, by 55cm deep, by 57cm high. It is heavy. The chest is solid, in good condition for its age, with no woodworm. It has the usual knocks, dents and minor repairs you will find with wooden boxes of this age.
