Fabulous quality antique 19th century desk. Made from solid wood. The top of the desk and the top of the bureau have original beautifully gold tooled oxblood red leather inlay. This desk has 11 drawers: three on the each pedestal, three on the top of the desk, and two on the bureau. Three top drawers of the desk are lockable with the original key. All the drawers have original handles. The small cabinet door on the bureau is beautifully encrusted. The desk splits into four parts for transportation:two pedestals, a top and a bureau. For sale: vintage mid century desk by Moss Partners London, dated . Heavy but solid desk, built to last. Dimensions: 168 x 84 cm, 75cm height. The mid section opening is 57cm wide, the width of the drawers is 46cm. Made from solid wood with veneer (walnut or teak?) on the drawers and sides, to give it that deep amber brown lustre, so typical of mid century furniture pieces. It has got a brown leather inlay on top, which has got some marks and a small rip. Could do with a new leather inlay or another protection cover on top. The desk has got 2 drawers either side. Small wooden 19th century desk / dressing table. Good condition. Recent valuation gave auction estimate of £. - - - - - - - - - - Dimensions (cm) 75h x 106w x 50d Unsure of material, however it has been suggested to me that it could be walnut. I believe it was originally a dressing table as it looks like a mirror may have once been attached. There are some struts supporting the legs on each side which look like they were added. Top surface is in two parts with a gap running through, unsure if this is original construction. Surface is in average condition with some scratches and blemishes.
