I am selling my antique metal trunk made by the jones brothers and co ltd of Wolverhampton in the early 's. these trunks were called Owomeji uniform trunks made for postings to Africa. with an army British made trade mark inside and the crescent decoration on it which was made with a rounded stick when the black paint was still wet and this was because the crescent was seen as a symbol of good luck in Africa. I have never seen one of these trunks that was gold gilded inside and so highly decorated which leads me to believe this was made for an officer of high standing. a truly beautiful item in its completely original state. it measures 93 cm x 59 cm x 29 cm and is quite stunning. good vintage condition relative to age. completely original condition. please see photos closely.

ANTIQUE METAL STEAMER SHIPPING TRUNK - WOOD LINED WITH

A huge antique metal steamer/shipping trunk. It measures " in length, 20" high and 19" width. Brass lock (no key) and clasps and remains of the original leather handles. Fully lined inside with wood which has been covered with paper (this looks original as it shows tanning and is flaking in places). Comes complete with its original removeable wooden shelf. The trunk does show its age with surface rusting etc. but once restored or painted, would make the ideal coffee table.
