BRONZE MARINE SHACKLE (antique)

Vintage boat shackle made from what looks like bronze. Info on this is, it came with a clearance of tools, the guy worked at the shipyards (Thompsons) in Sunderland. Thompsons built wooden ships until the 2nd World War when they began to use steel. So it's possibly 78 yo or more. The pin is over 10mm thick and so is the shackle probably over kg breaking strain and some. Perfectly usable if you have a need for it, but selling as a collectable. The optical glass prism allows the user to sight at the object and at the same time see the compass bearing in his field of view, and magnifies the card for easy use. An iridium chip beneath the card lights it for night time use. The compass is mounted on a solid teak handle with card-holder to make notations.
