A one off very unusual item that we are reluctant to sell but due to preparing for a house move in the not too distant future we are clearing out a few bits & pieces. This is a really beautiful item made from bronze & wood and highly decorated with hand painted Indian scenes, it has lots of hand painted panels/shelves & is also painted at the back. It stands 140 cm tall. It is an old item from a smoke free home.

Indian style chair - hand painted, unique, beautiful, decorative, rustic and lovely!, This gorgeous chair has been made by hand and although it isn’t perfect, it is absolutely beautiful. The picture on the back board of the chair is particularly lovely and I believe to be in a style of chairs that come from Rajasthan area. It is a very unusual chair, and if you want something that is usable, but that EVERYONE compliments when they come into your home, then this is it! I am attached to the chair and will be sad to see it go, but just can’t keep it anymore as I am a bit of ‘hoarder’ and need to downsize my belongings! The design is very clever and is two pieces of wood that fit together – no hinges / screws / moving parts – it is very beautiful in its simplicity and I remember being quite surprised at this when I first had the chair! It is unexpectedly comfortable and will take the weight of an adult. I usually have it in my bedroom and it perfect there… but it’s also a great additional chair in the living room / kitchen, or for a child. It is made of light weight wood and is easy to move about, store, and use – functional as well as pretty! There are a couple of chips (from before my time) that fit with age and use (photo of the worst included). They have never bothered me though and I have taken good care of it while I have had it. Just a good polish and dust every now and then. It is a relatively rustic piece, but I feel it adds to the charm and I imagine it being in a faraway exotic place ?Size wise, it is approximately 75cm tall, 80cm deep, and 40cm wide (at the extreme points), so is a nice fit for many rooms.
