Measuring 300 x 215cm (9'8"x7') and made in the early 20th century, it belongs to the small town of Heriz situated in the North West of Iran. Heriz carpets normally contain angular medallions with bold geometrical motifs along their borders; instead, this fine Heriz rug has a garden or panel design. This is however where the difference ends, as its geometrical borders and abrash colours shown, it isare much reminiscent of Heriz carpets made around the early 20th century.Condition Report: Very good and consistent pile throughout.
