Antique Georgian Mahogany Pembroke Table Dining Terrific Colour and Patina

Late Georgian Pembroke table with turned legs and probably later Victorian casters. The casters are brass with brown china wheels. The table is in good condition for a 200 year old antique with terrific colour and patination. The mahogany has rich dark brown tones typical of good quality Georgian furniture. There is a single drawer with brass escutcheon at one end and a falser drawer at the other. Unusually neither real nor false drawer have handles and there is no sign that they ever did. The table has has some minor, and sympathetic, restoration and conservation and looks terrific. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SOLID MAHOGANY EXTENDING DINING TABLE

Antique mahogany dining table, over 100 years old, from the mid-Victorian period. The table is in fine vintage condition, free from woodworm and in very useable condition. The oval top has a fabulous 'pie crust' carved edge. The wind out mechanism extends the table from cm to cm. This is achieved by the insertion of the additional leaf which measures 30x105 cm. The top stands on a base with four large cabriolet legs, beautifully carved on floral motive, with 'ball and claw' feet standing on brass casters.The top is solid mahogany, as is the whole table. It has some light marks but a lot of character and certainly makes a statement. The table stands 75cm high and it comes with a period wind handle. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SPANISH MAHOGANY GATED EXTENDING DINING TABLE

Antique extending dining table (gated legs) in Spanish mahogany. The table is of Georgian design but later in date of manufacture. The base was made in the latter part of the 19th century and originally would have had an oblong top. The top may be the original and shaped oval to be more in keeping with the style of the time. It is more likely that it was from an older table and married to the base on which it now stands. A nice oak dining table that extends from a square to a rectangle by doubling over. Excellent condition. Starts off as a 90cm square table and then folds over into a 90cm x 180cm extended table. Not showing in the picture are two heatproof tablecloths cloths that we have, both are 90cm square so will fit the table normally and when extended. The table is in very good condition as we've had it covered over with the cloths pretty much all of the time. There are no chairs to come with this as we didn't have any matching ones. The pictures show the table as a square, how it folds over and as the extended version. You can easily sit 4 round as a square and up to 6/8 when extended.
