This is a really beautiful antique window frame in Wood/shippy paint and Iron It came out of the barn of an old farmhouse in France - we are not sure if it was a window in that house or came from somewhere else It is likely the original glass would have been stained glass as that is quite common in the region it came from. The wood shows obvious signs of wear with the paint chipping away and the iron has a lovely rust patina. We have lightly sanded the wood, treated it for worm and applied a coat of wax It would look stunning as a decorative piece or with antiqued mirror set inside it.
