Antique large green glass DEMIJOHN wine bottle
Beautiful antique green glass bottle, called a 'Demijohn' which was used to store and transport wine. There are markings at the bottom and on the rim, as pictured. These say: "VE. B. AD. " which may refer to the manufacturer and number of litres capacity. There is even a small amount of red wine residue inside, at the bottom of the glass! Bought for £50 at one of the side stalls in Columbia Road Market, but the reason I am selling this so inexpensively is because I am moving very soon and greatly need to downsize, and also there is a crack (a hairline crack, not an open crack). This is all pictured, it goes from the rim straight down into a loop at the most bulbous part. We used this as a decorative feature in our living room and as it is hairline you won't notice the crack *at all* if it is turned toward the wall. Measures about 21" tall and 16" wide. From a non-smoking, no-pets household. Pick-up is from Primrose Hill. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit
