Superb Ebony Style Eagle Head Bookends, An absolutely exquisite pair of Eagle (Ebony effect resin) bookends which words nor pictures can portray how stunning these large and heavy pieces are in 'the flesh'. Superb detail, each one beautifully detailed and set on an elegant pedestal style base. Standing a very impressive 16 inches high (approx) x 11 inches wide (approx) these figure would look superb on a Victorian fireplace or a period style table. One of the birds has sadly damaged the tip of its beak, although this does not detract from the overall beauty. Vintage Ebony Ceylon (Sri Lankan) Elephant Bridge

These are original Vintage Ceylonise, not to confused with the modern Sri Lankan marked copies! This very cute and highly collectable vintage Sri Lankan Elephant Bridge is hand crafted from ebony and inlaid with bone (possibly Ox). Feturing 3 elephants the in-line group stands on a plinth forming a bridge. The Bridge measures Approximately 225mm L x 30mm W x 95mm High. (9" L x 1 1/4" W x 1 1/4" H) and weighs approx 360 grams (12 oz) Whilst I cannot be certain of the date of manufacture, I have had this item for over 30 years and belive it to be at least 50 years old and possibly older. Condition: The bridge is structurally complete with no missing elements it has minimum wear and tear and is in very good condition for its age, there are no splits or cracks in the wood and all toenails, eyes and tusks are intact apart from the tusks on the smallest Elephant which are missing.
