  ?antique victorian EARLY WOOD JEWELRY BOX w/VELVET, SILK,TRAY butterfly, rose This is a gorgeous old box, footed, and with a tray divided into 6 squares.   One is lined with a velvet and the others are silk or satin type fabric. The lid is lined with silk and the botterfly and rose are dimensionally applied.   The other parts may be painted, but not sure. The thin layer on the outside of the wood has crazing, is cracking, and peeling away and fragile.   It seems like most is there and can be reglued back down. The skeletin key is missing and not included. Details about   Ornate Antique Early Victorian Side Saddle

A beautiful Victorian Somerset style side saddle that has been stored in an attic for many years. I have taken it to a local repairer who has said from the style of stitching he believes it to be early Victorian circa 's. There is no maker marks visible but because of the ornate leatherwork, style & quality it would have been a very high end saddle I am told. It has a doeskin seat & the rest of the saddle is pigskin, although old it looks as though it originally had very little use, the seat does not show wear & neither do the girth straps etc. Measured to where the normal cutback would be makes it a " saddle and is a wide width fit, so would easily fit a modern horse. The underneath panels would need replacing to make it rideable but other than that the tree is sound and leatherwork good although slightly dry but will come up even better once conditioned which I have not attempted to do. The leather has a few dimples at the very end of the top pommel/fixed head and if you want any other photos let me know. Local collection from nr gloucester or I can ship. I will also ship overseas but the cost needs to be covered so please contact me first & I will try & get a quote for you to give idea of cost.

Beautiful Early Victorian Paper Mâché Chair

This chair has been in my family since it was bought in the Portobello when she was at last able to buy a house shortly after the war. She adored and so did my mother, so did all of us. We had it restored in the s. Sadly however it broke when we were caring fro my mother. But i have nor been able to let go of it. I have been quoted between 175 for a basic fix to 450 for a full fix with the paint renewed. I would pay this but i do not think I can keep the chair. So I am offering for a £25 donation to Vox Hollway, my local community choir which keeps so many people happy. It will make a great project for someone with a serious interest in bringing beautiful old furniture back to life. Read more

A Large Early Victorian Carved Mahogany Fireside Arm Chair Great Shape A large early Victorian carved mahogany fireside armchair, upholstered in a red velvet material, and the chair having a great shape to it. The chair frame is made from mahogany which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with the back being shaped with the top rail being carved with a blind fret carving and then with a rounded to each side. The front of the chair is formed with it having carved and bent wooden supports which have fluted carvings and again roundels and circular and lines designs. The front legs of the chair are turned tapered and fluted again. The back legs are shaped backwards. The front of the chair is bow fronted. The chair is upholstered in a red velvet material, which has diamond shaped designs on it. The arm supports are also upholstered. The chair is real comfy even after all these years and it dates to around . Size Height 40” Width ” Depth 39.5” Condition The condition of the chair is very good, can be used as is or could be re-upholstered to whatever material suits, it has been re-upholstered at some point already.
