Very large Antique cheese press stone & copper bird bath

Very large unique Antique stone and copper bird bath for sale. This is a very large and heavy bird bath, consisting of a very old sand stone cheese press weight as the base, and a large antique copper bowl that seats on top as the bird bath. The cheese press weight has been here on our farm for at least the last 4 generations, and was originally used as the weight block on a wooden framed cheese press by my great aunt. The stone block is 22 inches tall, 24 inches wide and 20 inches deep. We estimate it to weigh in the region of around half a tonne (10 cwt or 500kg). The circular antique copper bowl is 35 inches diameter and approximately 6.5 inches in depth. It has a weathered patina that has come about after being exposed to the elements for many years. It would polish up to a bright new copper finish, but it seems a shame to spoil what nature has taken many years to achieve. It is Offered for sale near Garstang in Lancashire as a collection only item, due to its size and weight.We can load it onto a trailer ect with a forklift. This would make a great feature either inside in a conservatory or vestibule, or outside in a garden. Could be used as a bird bath, water feature or center piece in a large display.
