Antique Continental Painted Single Bed Frame A blue/green painted wooden bed frame from the continent - possibly France or Italy I was told. The headboard has a painted country scene on it surrounded by gold paint. There is also gold paint round the edges of the headboard and foot-board. I bought this bed frame at an antique auction for my daughter but she is moving abroad for a year and has decided not to keep it. When people create shabby chic items - this is what they are trying to emulate. But this bed has a hundred years or more of use that has created a colour, patination and pattern of wear that makes it the real deal. A beautiful French Antique single bed frame, made out of Rosewood, with wooden side struts (these were new 6 yrs ago) to fit a standard UK single bed base and mattress. Lovely carved frame detail with upholstered headboard and footboard, covered in Kate Forman's Angelique French linen. This is a single bed with pullout sleepover bed. There is also a bedside cabinet, this has some splitting on the side of the top due to my daughter spilling a glass of water on it. If the buyer chooses they can have the mattress for the sleepover bed which is hardly used. The sleepover bed can be used flat or has spung legs which bring it up to the same height as the bed. Please remember this furniture is used and it condition reflects that. The beds have some discolouration and paint chips.This furniture is from Chic Shack on lower Richmond Rd and is the Caramelle high foot bed. This bed was expensive and is of very good quality. REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE-Trundle bed - single + guest bed underneath single bed in good quality solid pine.203cm long. in excellent used condition.bought for daughter and to house visitors. guest bed has had very little use -mainly occasional sleepovers. main bed used by daughter. only selling because daughter is at the age where she's having bedroom makeover. pictures refer to the particular shape of the headboard. there is no footboard and the foot end has same small posts on each corner as shown on the headboard. Other pics taken from web as we dismantled the bed before we took photos. They give an idea of how the two beds work together. Ours has the headboard and foot end as I have decribed not as shown in the google pics. Guest bed trundles out on wheels in very smooth action. It is then erected on the wooden legs which fold flat to it when it is stored under the main bed. When next to main bed it is exactly the same height. Could be pushed together to give double. We have used like twin beds. Quality wooden slats form base of both beds. Mattress of main bed not included. Mattress of guest bed included although it is not a particularly quality one.
