Made in the mid 's this Welsh country piece is made from various woods and veneers. It has ebony and mother of pearl handles with ebonisd tear drops. Side panels are scumble glazed. Chest of Drawers by Wrighton - Mid Century Modern - Statement piece of Furniture

This MCM set of drawers made by Wrighton ('s) is a great statement piece in fabulous condition, so if you are looking for something very different it's for you! I have tastefully refurbished it in Annie Sloan Old White and Paris Grey and given it two coats of specialist poly for durability. The teak areas have been teak oiled and brought back to life from it's previous drab state, the hardware are the original handles, again teak oiled back to life. Measurements are 80cm wide x 47cm deep x 97cm high. I really enjoy refurbishing old, unloved pieces of furniture and turning them from drab to fab and giving them a new unique identity. I spend a lot of time, effort, energy and thought on each piece. I would not sell anything that I would not be happy to keep in my own home. Please bear in mind that this is a vintage piece of furniture, or any previously owned piece of furniture there may be the odd bump or mark that comes with age. I always do my best to describe and show photos of any imperfections of significance or that I feel detract from the piece in any way but in most cases I feel it adds to the character and charm of the item. For sale is this absolutely stunning antique Welsh chest of drawers. It's a lovely solid scruffy old thing with bags of character and charm. It's totally original I've just given it a clean and wax. It has fantastic proportions, clean inside, a lovely inlay detail on the drawers and a very unusual combination of 2 over 4 drawers making it a little different from the norm. I honestly can't say enough about this piece it's cracking but if you're looking for a pristine restored antique this is not for you.
