Antique heavy cast iron & hardwood garden furniture. in

Two chairs, One bench & One table. Rare double lattice cast iron moulding design to table top & seat backs. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Completely professionally restored by a master craftsman, with new 22mm thick Iroko hardwood timbers, fully oiled before fitting. New stainless steel fixings and bolts have been used. Cast iron has been kept original, not sand or shot blasted, just wire brushed and painted with Hammerite paint, special 'Brooklands' colour mix. For strength and stability new metal braces have been fitted to legs and tops. Very comfy generous size seats, chairs for large adult or two kids, bench for two or three adults or four kids. Cushions not required, but could be added if preferred. Due to weight, most suitable for hard paving area, so do not have to move too much, or temporary use on grass. Table; mm long, 634mm wide, 626mm tall. Chairs; 630mm wide, 600mm deep, 790mm high, 385mm seat height. Bench; mm wide, 600mm deep, 790mm high, 385mm seat height. Ideal feature for patio, swimming pool surround, conservatory, or pub, restaurant, caf, etc. Will last many years, just oil the timbers once a year. Due to size and weight, collection only from Hurstpierpoint, or could arrange haulage if required at cost, local delivery could be arranged, if asking price paid, must be viewed to see quality and finish. This is a lovingly restored cast iron garden furniture set. The ends are cast iron, and have been painted with two coats of hammerite paint in order to prevent rusting. The slats and table top are iroko hardwood and have been treated with four coats of danish oil in order to protect against the elements for years to come. Known as the African teak this durable wood will age and weather to a lovely silver colour over time and the occasional coat of oil will prevent deterioration of the wood for years. This is a substantial set of furniture with the benches being four feet long and the table three feet long. They are heavy and robust and a courier delivery is not a financially viable option, so collection from Kidderminster would be ideal. However, I may be able to deliver if we can come to a mutual agreement about diesel costs. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you want to view the item.
