Hallmarked Walking CANE. 36". Horn/Sterling Silver/Ebony
This black walking stick in finely-textured ebony wood has a smooth finish. Ebony is considered valuable as an ornamental wood. It has come down through our family, though I am unsure as to its exact date. ORIGINS After reading & researching the hallmarks [JH anchor lion O] I think it could have been made in , in Birmingham, England. I could not swear to that though as I am no expert as regards ong>sterlingong> ong>silverong> hallmarks. So if you interested in its history please do your due diligence on the trademarks. DETAILS Black ebony ong>withong> signs of wear but no serious damage. Length - 36 inches Circumference - 2½ inches at bottom, 3 inches at top Length of the ong>silverong> collar part - 2 inches The horn/bone handle is 4½ inches long and 3 inches in circumference If you'd like any more information or to view more photos please contact me.
