Old writing bureau with drawers and leaded glass display cabinet for sale. This belonged to a family member and is at least 40 years old. I don’t know what the wood is. Main part with drawers measures 39” high, 24” across and 16” deep. The top section with leaded glass front and locks with key, measures 32” high, 24” across and is 8” deep. Restoration project. Edwardian mahogany inlaid bureau with drawers under and glazed doors over

This is a very attractive bureau in very good condition. External features include attractive inlay, brass handles and glass trellis work on the bookcase doors. The leather surface of the desk surface is in good condition, as are the small drawers inside the main bureau. The key works for the bureau, top drawer and the glass doors. Please note that the top of the bureau is scratched (see final photo), though you don't see this as the bookcase rests on top of it. The glazed bookcase and the bureau are separate parts. Dimensions: total height 196 cm; depth 46 cm; depth with bureau desk/lid down 79 cm; height to top of bureau (without the glazed bookcase) 99 cm; internal dimensions of top drawer 59 cm wide, 36 cm deep, 9.5 cm high; other drawers 67 cm wide, 36 cm deep, 12.5 cm high; depth of glazed bookcase 23 cm.
