A fine antique mahogany Globe Wernicke barristers bookcase c A lovely original barrister’s bookcase made by the company of ‘Globe Wernicke'. All of the glass is in perfect condition and it has all of its original knobs. All of the ‘doors’ open smoothly and operate exactly as they should. In good all round condition with some cosmetic dings and marks - nothing a good clean and polish wouldn’t fix - but I believe that it is better for the buyer to see an item like this which is 100+ years old ’as is’ so that they can decide if they prefer it showing that it has been ‘used’ (but NOT abused I hasten to add) or if they want to restore it to ‘as new’ - this way the choice is yours. The pictures show the actual item on offer and form part of the description. It measures  58 in high x 34 in wide x 12 in deep All measurements are external and maximum. It separates into 5 pieces which makes it very easy to move.
