Here is a beautiful set of brass scales in a wooden and glass case complete with a set of brass weights. This is a very unusual yet very precise weighing instrument. These are known as apothecary scales, more commonly used by chemists from the turn of the 20th Century. The scales are in magnificent condition, as is the oak case that features a lift up front panel to give access to the scales. For sale is my Oak cased Grandfather clock. It is fully working including date mechanism and is being used on a daily basis and is in very good presentable condition with no woodworm that I can see, also the face is virtually unmarked and in excellent condition. To give a little provenance on the history, the clock has the name William Evans from Great Malvern. I did a little research and it appears he traded in the years . Antique chiming wall clock. I bought this from an antique shops in Neath in the s. The shop owner told me it was fully restored. As I really wanted one I paid over a ton for it. He was a big liar as it has never seen any restoration whatsoever as a good friend who restores clocks told me at the time. That said it does work keeping reasonable time for a clock of its age. The chimes which are quite beautiful chime at every quarter of an hour. It is missing a decorative piece at the top and the finial at the bottom has become detached but only needs glueing. Antique Mahogany Cased Arch Topped Bracket Clock, Circa

Antique Mahogany cased arch topped bracket clock, with some lovely inlaid detailing, circa ’s. This clock is marked Made in England, but has a look of the German manufacturer Gustav Becker about it. The front has thick bevelled glass which opens to winding holes on the easy to see white dial. Below the dial is a lovely detailed inlay of a rough diamond shape with what looks like a crest of some sort. The clock is raised on brass bun feet. This used to belong to my grandparents. It has a nice sounding gong from what I remember though I haven’t tested it. I believe it still works, but it might need a little TLC to get it back into good working order. Certainly all the bits are there! The case in in very good solid condition. It comes with a winding key and pendulum. Approx. dimensions – Width at bottom 9” Height 12 ½” Depth from bottom 5” These are all approximate sizes. There is a slight etching on the back of the inside cover which from what I can make out says A M. A beautiful clock for someone to own.
