The way it was knotted and the diversity in patterns make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character. Kerman (or Kirman) is located in the south-east of Iran, at the edge of a desert. Kerman rugs can be recognised by a centrally placed medallion and a wide border filled with flowers, made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread).
