The set up consists of an Ampeg V4BH all valve bass amp head, an Ampeg 2x10 Classic cab and an Ampeg 1x15 Classic cab. All of which were made in the USA before Ampeg shipped production to the Far East. The amp head has a full flight case and the cabs have Roqsolid covers. The stitching on the 2x10 is coming undone but it still protects the cab. Both cabs have Ernie Ball removable castors on them. One of the castors on the 2x10 is slightly loose. The sound of this rig is typical Ampeg - big, loud and warm. This has been my main bass rig for around 3 years, but following the use of a friend's Terror bass I have been drawn into the world of Orange bass amps and I think I'm there to stay now (for now!). I have toured with this rig for a few years and never encountered any problems. It's solid, reliable and sounds great. Our band stopped playing live over a year ago so I have no use for this currently. I will be sad to sell this but can't justify keeping it due to other commitments. Please note that one of the butterfly clips on the flight case is broken, although it can still be fastened tight with a pair of large pliers (sounds odd, I know!). I have attached a photo. The band logo is also still visible on the front panel of the case. This Hi-Watt amp is much sort after for it's great sound. The controls all work without crackles and all inputs and outputs work as they should. This is a rare vintage amp from the Hylight era of Hiwatt circa with original Partridge transformers. Original Mullard power valves with one JJ replacement tube and a new power switch on the front.
