He could create a world in the sense of Till Eulenspiegel mixed with a Dionysian joy.Lambeaux studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp. He joined a group of young artists, led by Jan van Beers. They were a bit notorious for their eccentric behaviour, including walks in Antwerp dressed up in historical costumes.
