Alfie, 12hh pony 10 yrs FOR SALE in Chester

Alfie. 12hh, 10 year old Gelding Alfie is a first or second pony for a confident child that wants to have some fun. He absolutely loves having a job to do and would make a great little pony club pony. Unfortunately, my daughter lost interest and we never made it to Pony Club but he has seen all the mounted games equipment and thinks it's marvelous fun. He has always behaved impeccably when ridden at home and at shows and has proven to be sensible and not strong or silly. He has only ever been hacked in company with us as I used to ride and lead from my pony and traffic does not bother him although we have popped him on the lead rein up and down the lane with young children on him. He doesn't much like being on the lead rein once he has a rider mounted so would not sell him as a lead rein pony. I bought him for my then 6-year-old daughter 2 years ago to bring her on but she has completely lost interest now and does not want to ride anymore. He is barefoot, snaffle mouthed and great for farrier. He is happy to live out with shelter although I always stable him in the winter. All tack and rugs are included as we are now sadly leaving the pony world for the foreseeable future.

Our chestnut pony, hugely outgrown, is ready for a new jockey to have fun with. Bought initially for our novice sons, later forming a wonderful partnership with our older son. Hector is an honest safe pony, a good allrounder. Attended lots of pony club rallies, incorporating flatwork, SJ and XC, enjoyed fun and beach rides and was ace at PC camp. My son has competed in team and individual showjumping, along with a few ODE’S, often placed in the top 6. Hector has a large stride, ideal for XC and hunting - his favourite disciplines. Currently jumping 80cm and has done 90cm when my son was smaller! He can do a decent dressage test but this not something we've focused on. Good out hacking, always been in company (usually someone on foot) purely due to where we live. Excellent with big traffic, cyclists and motorbikes - can spook at a leaf/bird but this isn't often. 11.2 hh lead rein, first or second pony

11.2 hh 11yo Grey (some of the time) Welsh Section A Gelding - Striker Striker is a cherub. He will happily do the lead rein bit with the wobbly just starting off riders. He will hack up the lanes unfazed by any cars, vans, bikes, tractors coming past, and he will happily stand and wait for traffic to pass. He will go round and round and round a schooling area, walking over poles and weaving around cones. Striker has a sweet little trot and a nice rhythmic canter with the sweetest little pop over a small jump, which he will happily do on the lead or off. He has been across wide open fields and down woodlands and little foresty areas and he's impeccably behaved, standing and waiting for gates to be opened without getting fidgety. He has been put to harness and pulled a little cart before we owned him, however this is not something we have done with him. Striker will happily do the circuits on the lead rein with a 3 year old or step up for a more able jockey, happily carrying 8 stone with a 5'5 rider. Striker has the presence, movement and the look to excel in the show ring, however I wouldn't recommend this as his forte as he also has the hygiene and cleanliness of a wart hog !!! This little boy has given my nieces some lovely times and helped build their confidence in the saddle and on the ground but the winter has it's way of showing the enthusiastic jockeys from the fair weather fairies. ?? FOR SALE ?? hh 5 year old Cob Gelding With his previous owner he was backed, schooled, hacked, hunted and jumped then turned away. He was hunted at the weekend and is now fit and ready to go. He's a lovely horse to be around, extremely friendly and will do anything for food! He's been brought back into work and he's been hacking out alone and in company and isn't fazed by any traffic, been in the school, jumped and hunted on Saturday (18th november) jumping awful ditches taking everything in his stride! He's the type of pony that doesn't need riding everyday, you can leave him for a number of days and get back on and he's perfect! An absolute Angel to clip, stood like a real rock, currently barefoot due to coming back into work and he has good hardy feet.
