Frontispiece with woodcut portrait of the author. On the pages: erosion by woodworm, light water stains, bookplates (Gasparij G) on the title page; ink notes of the time () on some pages (see photos). For the rest it is a good copy, perfectly usable. Text in Latin, ancient Greek (until ). The second frontispiece has an imperial eagle on crown as the crest of a shield surrounded by acanthus leaves, in the shield there is an eagle on an anchor and a dolphin (see main photo).Note: Aldus Manutius, son of Paulus Manutius (Venice, - Rome, ) head of the Vatican Printing Office, was the last heir of the famous Venetian family of printers.
