This saddle is in fantastic condition, and has been re flocked by Browns of Oxford,  have owned from new,  but our horse has now changed shape due to an operation and this sadly no longer fits.  On one of the girth straps there are some chew marks, where sadly the horse had a quick bite,  but it is otherwise perfect.  See photo for this

18" Tan English Leather Close Contact Jumping Saddle MW/W

18" close contact jumping saddle for sale made from tan calfskin leather by the English Riding Saddle Company by Master Saddler, Rob Deavall. The saddle is in good condition with normal wear from riding. Due to the light colour of the saddle, there are dark marks from being rubbed on the flaps, seat and panels. The stitching has worn off on the nearside flap at the bottom from the stirrup leather. The tree is sound as are the girth straps. Only selling as much too wide for my TB x ID mare. This was sold to me incorrectly as a narrow medium which she needs, but this saddle is MUCH MUCH wider than that. It needs a horse with decent withers and large shoulders, it looks to be approx. a medium/wide or maybe even a Thoroughbred wide fit. D to D is about 8". Flap is also suitable for tall riders as I'm 5'9" with a 36" inseam and my knees did not stick over the flaps. The Kontact was developed in collaboration with William Fox-Pitt to give freedom of movement and stability for the horse as well as even pressure distribution. Albion Kontact single flap jumping saddle medium width and 17.5 seat size. I bought this saddle in from new from an Albion stockiest saddle fitter. For sale due to not having a horse to fit it. The saddle has been well cared for, regularly cleaned, oiled and ridden in most days up until recently. Kept with saddle cover which will be included. Shows typical wear and tear in line with its age and use, a few scratches and marks but in good condition for it age. marks on the back of the seat, i have tried to show these. Fab Albion Legend jumping / hunting / xc saddle. Dark havanna, 17.5" NM fit. Accomodates very high withers and is cut to sit around a big shoulder so it doesn't push back. This has been perfect on TB's and lighter WB types, but this fits more towards a medium as Albion are quite generous (4" between the padding inside). Super comfortable and very forward, allows you to get really short in the stirrups and gives a very secure seat. Has been very well looked after, recently checked by saddler. Flocking is good and soft - not at all hard. Has one small mark on cantle, nothing worth worrying about but have to mention. Only selling as new horse needs a 17" max saddle sadly!
