Female 4 and half year old Akita

Due to moving into a rented home and landlord not accepting pets We unregretably have to part with out much loved dog yoki. She's being with us now for 3 and a years and is absolutely amazing with children, she adores my 5 year old girl and is very gentle with her. She's trained to sit, lay down, give paw, to roll over and to walk by your heel if commanded too. She's not so good with little dogs so unacceptable to probably have her near a little dog but great with big dogs, basically she's plays rough with dogs and would easily scare a small dog/owner but you tend to find people with larger dogs don't mind the rough and tumble. She's a dominant female, but due to her previous home (before us) she can be quite anxious around males but would never harm anyone she would be more likely to hide somewhere around the house. She soft, a little bit daft haha when someone enters the house she barks then can't get over to them quick enough for fuss as she loves fuss. She's a great guard dog as her bark is powerful and scares almost everyone who comes near the house but as soon as you are greeted she can't get over to you quick enough for a stroke. She my daft, soft and very loyal companion and absolutely pains me to say good bye. I'm not accepting just anyone to take her as she's too good for a bad home and I'm having nobody spoiling her kind nature. Young 1 year old female Akita

Unfortunately we have came to the extremely hard decision that we are going to have to rehome our beautiful Akita. She is half and half (Japanese and American) Akita, is 1 on July 16th, and has not yet been spayed, we would require the new owners to be willing to do this though, we will not allow anyone to take her who we believe will use her for breeding purposes!!! She has a temperament associated with most Akita dogs- loyal, protective, energetic, and loving (but on her terms, lol!) the problem is she suffers greatly with separation anxiety, and will become distressed when left to the point of chewing whatever she is in the room with, we have lost carpet, couches, cushions and even the bottom of a door through this behaviour, and as we have 3 children and must often leave the house without her it means that we usually will come home and be met with the result of her destructive behaviour. We feel that we must be honest with this, as whomever will take her on will need to do so knowing that we have tried very hard to train this behaviour out of her, to no avail. I feel that she would be best suited to a house with no other pets nor children, and with people who will either be at home most of the time and able to walk her several times a day, or can find a solution to her anxiety and destruction. She is also a howler, very wolf like in that regard, so again the new owner would need to be understanding on this. She has had all her vaccinations, has been microchipped, and is up to date with flea and working treatments. We have come to this decision with heavy hearts, we adore her, but it's just not fair to us nor her to stay with us, so rest assured that she will not just be going home with the first person that takes an interest, we feel that we have every right to interview ans background check those that wish to take on new ownership. Those that message with a simple 'we want the dog' will be ignored, this is not the type of flippant attitude that makes for a good dog owner. Experience with Akitas is preferable, as they are a very different breed from most other dogs, being more closely linked with the wolf. Price asked is non negotiable, those that are serious about taking her on will not seek to barter on price. Ad ID:

This is Kano. He is just over a year old(born august). It is with a very heavy heart I'm having to rehome my gorgeous big boy. Unfortunately he has become too attached to myself and it is affecting my family life. I am a mother of three young children so unfortunately Kano cannot have all of my time. I am willing to discuss this and answer any questions anyone may have in regards to this. He is a lovely dog, very people friendly and just wants everyone to show him love. He does pull on the lead when he is first outdoors with excitement but generally calms down and walks fine. He is EXTREMELY strong so not just anyone could walk him. He currently lives with a female springer spaniel, and has always been fine in the presence of unknown female dogs. He can have issues with male dogs though, not all but sometimes he can get worked up around males. I fully believe this will be easy to overcome with the right training. He will be more suited to someone who has more time for him, with no young kids or other dogs. Please do not consider contacting me if you have no experience in larger breed dogs. This is my boy, my heart is breaking rehoming him and I will not hand him over to just anyone. He has so much potential, his character and intelligence are just remarkable. Lovely tanned and white male japanese akita. Was 2years old in june. Reluctant to get rid of him as i have had him since he was a pup but my housing situation is no longer suitable.
