This little rabbit is carved into wonderful antique yellow marble (surely Numidicus i.e from Numidia, the North-Eastern African region currently named Algeria, where it used to be mined in ancient Roman times) and is an inspiring example of high-quality craftsmanship, for an eclectic market hungry for novelties. Born in this decade () as a result of the Liberty movement, i.e. the Italian Art Deco, which marks the birth of the Italian design.
