This pattern is characteristic of the Afshar nomads living near Kerman. Beautiful, used condition, worn through to the weft threads in places. Soft brick red and fresh light blue. With four corner ornaments and a central, step-shaped medallion with indigo blue. Indigo is a plant.Natural, plant-based dyes. The vases with flowers at the top and bottom are characteristic of these carpets. The dark brown coloured, wool pile is very short, almost worn out, because of the iron chloride that is naturally present in the plant-based dye. Beautiful original Asfhar of about 65 years old, in very neat, used condition. Wonderful wool; hand-spun, so all lanolins have been maximally preserved. The colours are warm and full and all dyes are natural. Like all nomadic carpets of the Asfhar tribes, this piece too is solely made from the heart.So not according to a template pattern.Whatever was in their imagination, they made it.So you'll always have a unique piece.
