African Pygmy Hedgehog + Setup

Very sad to be letting Max go, but it is in his best interest! Max is a very beautiful boy, but due to not having the time to handle him anymore I feel like it is important for him to be rehomed to someone who can put in a lot of time and effort into him. Approx. 1year. Max will need to go to either someone with experience with hedgehogs, or someone who is willing to put the time into him and not be afraid of their spines and his personality. I am not going to lie and say he is the friendliest hedgehog you will find as i want the person who rehomes him to know exactly what he is like and feel comfortable that they can work with him and help him be the beautiful, amazing boy i know he will turn out to be! He is extremely shy and often stays in his ball the majority of the time i have him out - with more frequent handling im sure he will grow confident and be fine. He does have sharp spines so I would suggest that until he has settled and is calmer, he isn't a childs pet. He has bitten once, however it was after I had eaten food so although it was most likely a fault of my own.. I'm telling you anyway as there may be a small chance he could do it again. apart from that, once he has time, he does start to come out and explore. He is more of a solitary boy, however I do want him to have the human contact i know he deserves. Again i would preferably want a more experienced hedgehog owner as i would feel he is in the right hands, however if you are someone who will be willing to put in the time and effort with him no matter what then i couldn't be happier. He will come in his full setup (top in the picture), which is a vivarium (i think 3ft but will double check and clarify measurements if you're interested), a few fleece/blankets for bedding, litter tray, food and water bowl, wheel (not in picture however it is the same as the wheel in the bottom viv but in blue instead), heat lamp and guard, and a ball, teddy and log. He is fed on Whiskas KITTEN biscuits alongside the occcasional cooked veg / mealworms / dried insect treats. African pygmy hedgehogs are solitary animals and if you are going to be a first time owner of one i would fully suggest researching their care before committing. I do NOT want him to go to a breeder as it is very important for me to know he is going to a loving home in which he wont be used for profit. Lovely little man 19 months old Eric would like to rehome him to a loving forever home who will spend time with him. Unfortunately through personal circumstances and illness I’m not able to spend the time with him. he needs daily handling and he’s not getting it so becoming nervous. Sad to sell our pet hedgehog, but we are going away soon and also expecting a new baby and think its best for him to go to someone who can care for him. Male African pygmy hedgehog, 2 years old, chocolate pinto. Comes with everything you need: large cage, wheel, bedding, litter tray and box of bathing sand, sleeping blankets/ pouch, tunnel, food bowl, hideaway, and any left over food. He eats cat kibble and occasional treats (mealworms, veggies). He enjoys going to the park to run around in the grass, and walks around the house sometimes. He naturally wakes up around 9-10pm, but can be woken up during the day for a couple of hours. He is very shy and huffy and spiky with new people, and it can take him weeks to warm up. His needs should be respected, and he will be happy as long as he is able to hide when feeling insecure. He enjoys taking warm shallow baths,and likes having some warm water poured over his back (but not face). We have a new small pet carrier and snuggle bonding bag (to take him out to the shops or on walks) that have only been used twice each, and were bought recently. Sebastian is male albino African Pygmy Hedgehog. He is 18 months old, I have owned him since he was 10 weeks. As with many hoggies he can be timid at first but once out he will quickly calm down and explore.
