FREE AFRICAN CLAWED FROG TO GOOD HOME
I have two African Clawed Frogs, one male and one female. They are a year old, and unfortunately it takes that long to find out their gender. As I don't have the room for two separate tanks, I am looking to rehome the female ASAP. Experience with exotic animals is preferred, but they are a good "beginner" exotic as they are fairly simple to take care of. If you have never raised them before: You will need a medium sized tank, more wide than it is tall ideally. They eat reptomin as their main source of food, and need it as it contains calcium for healthy bones! It is available from amazon if you can't find any in a local pet store. They enjoy bloodworms (available at 90% of pet stores) as a treat, but can also temporarily live off these until you source reptomin. They eat every other day/every 3 days, as much as they can finish in about 10 minutes. The tank will need a good, but quiet filter, preferably a Stingray (available from Pets at Home), and the water will need to be changed every week or so. Stress Coat and Stress Zyme is recommended to treat the water. This is available off amazon, and a small bottle of each has lasted me a good year, as you only need to use a few drops of each for every water change. Read More
