HSU Theatre presents Twelfth Night
HSU Theatre Society (formally known as SHU Drama Society is performing a Shakespeare classic comedy, Twelfth Night. Love can be pretty confusing. Viola soon discovers this when she is shipwrecked on the island of Illyria, and disguises herself as a boy to get employment with a handsome Duke. He wants her to woo the Countess Olivia for him, but there’s a small issue. Instead of falling for the Duke, Olivia ends up falling for Viola instead, and Viola falls for the Duke. With Viola’s twin brother wandering about as well, this are bound to get complicated! Add in a host of hilarious supporting characters including Olivia’s drunk uncle, her severe servant Malvolio, and a sarcastic jester, this show has got drama, fights, love and most importantly…laughs! Prepare yourself for a crazy show – oh, and some pretty interesting yellow tights. Twelfth Night will be performed on November 27th & 28th at the Creative Lounge, The Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row, Sheffield, S1 2BX. Doors open at pm and the show starts at pm.
