Vintage Cocktail Cabinet - Rivington in Bungay
Delightful piece. A mid-century cocktail cabinet built by Rivington of London. Features a large drop-down door at the top with remarkable brass cantilever hinges opening to reveal a mirrorod interior. The top lifting upwards with the same mechanism to reveal cocktail accesories - Remarkably the juicer and the cocktail sticks are still with the cabinet. The first one we have seen with these intact! Complete with interior lighting (Fully PAT safety and function tested) The back mirror features a wonderful cocktail motif design, the base and door interior mirror panels have a gold pinstripe design. Brass hinged and locks throughout. Below this are two doors that open to reveal a spacious cupboard with one high shelf to store glasses and space below for bottles/cans and other accouterments. The doors still have the original shaker/bottle clips. The doors feature period handles of an elegant and curved shallow V design and brass strip detailing. Great condition for it's age, with a lovely deep glowing patina to the wood, but has some slight wear and tear that needs repair/re-polishing, hence the low price.
