Absolutely beautiful 20th Anniversary Heart of the Ocean Replica based on the necklace from the 20th Century fox Titanic movie. This necklace is not an authorised replica or endorsed in any way by 20th Century Fox. There are 2 main collectable replicas of the Heart of the Ocean necklace typically available. 1. The licensed replica made by J.Peterman comes with a certificate of authenticity, however the authorised copy has several differences from the necklace seen on screen. The J.Peterman has a heart shape stone but even though it’s called ‘Heart of the Ocean’, the actual main stone was never heart shape but Trillion cut. It also has twin prongs securing the main stone where as the movie necklace has evenly spaced prongs and also the Peterman chain is made up of all round stones 2. The Jill Bailey (or Jill Bailey style necklaces) like I also sell which has the trillion cut main stone held with 4 evenly spaced prongs and the alternating round, marquise and teardrop stones on the chain. And finally what I now consider to be the most authentic and beautiful version which I'm selling on this listing. The main stone is accurately cut to the trillion shape and is also set in a mount that is 100% faithful to the movie version with 7 evenly spaced prongs holding it in place. The necklace chain itself is elegant to the extreme with the alternating round, marquise and teardrop stones set inside delicate bezels that mirror the necklace chain held in the hand of 'old Rose' as seen in the movie (picture added to listing). This chain is far superior to the chain found on the Jill Bailey necklaces where the stones are just held in place at either end. Overall as a Titanic fan, I'm proud to have finally succeeded in sourcing a necklace that can for once truly be called an authentic replica...............
